Gingerbread
Creation Competition
Youth, Families, Schools and
Businesses/Organizations are invited to submit an entry into our gingerbread
competition.
Why Should You Participate?
- Fun to make, especially if there is a team
- Display your creation to the thousands of people who attend
Gingerbread & Glitter
- Support your community – Gingerbread & Glitter depends on our
display area entries
- You could win a plaque, ribbon or People’s Choice
- Donate your creation for silent auction and you could also raise
fund for Secret Santa, the Food Bank and the Wetaskiwin Hospital Foundation
- The entry fee is waived for gingerbread entries so there is no cost
to you (besides ingredients)
How Do You Enter?
- Complete the entry form on This Website. You can email or fax this to us. Please complete this by Nov 16 as we
have signage to complete.
- Bring your entry to Gingerbread & Glitter on Thurs, Nov 18
between 5pm and 10pm
Rules
- Any architectural structure - real or imaginary is eligible for
entry (i.e. house, train station, bridge, ship, lighthouse, spaceship).
- 80% must be edible.
- You may add electric lighting to your entry.
- Entry must have been constructed in 2010.
- Entries will be judged on Originality, Overall Appearance, Choice
and Use of Materials and Difficulty of Design.
- There is no size limit but it must be able to fit through the doors
at the Wetaskiwin Drill Hall.
- If you do not donate your item for silent auction, it must be
picked up Sunday, Nov 21 between 4pm-5pm.
- The Friends of the Conity of Wetaskiwin
Society reserves the right not to display an entry, if the entry is
considered offensive.
